What should I do if my patient does not have high-speed internet?

CGM is still possible with limited internet access. These resources can help.

Home Internet via Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP)

This program from the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) may be able to provide free home internet to your patient. A sign-language video explaining the ACP is available, and patients can also call the ACP support center at (877) 384-2575.

Smartphone via Pulsewrx

All Medicaid Managed Care Plans work with Pulsewrx, an Ohio-based Lifeline phone vendor, to offer CGM-compatible smartphones to Medicaid members.

Local Hotspot via InnovateOhio

InnovateOhio provides a map of available free wifi hotspots in Ohio, often in local public libraries, schools, and community centers. Many hotspots reach into parking lots, allowing your patient to upload CGM data without leaving their vehicle.
